How great it was to see high school friend Dan after some nine years, since my last foliage tour through Vermont back in 2002. And now many hundreds of miles south of Burlington in Virginia Beach, I felt privileged to meet his most awesome and beautiful bride Katherine and photograph their special day. It didn’t take long to realize Katherine and Dan are perfect for each other . . . truly genuine, fun, and light-hearted people, as their sixteen person wedding party can undoubtedly attest to.
The day kicked off at Katherine’s parents home where pastel green walls made for lovely bridesmaid photos as the girls shared great laughs while helping Katherine slip into her dress and secure the final details. The wedding ceremony took place at the family’s Wycliffe Presbyterian church with longtime friend and pastor, followed by a reception at the classic Princess Anne Country Club. The weather couldn’t have been better, the Princess Anne staff were wonderful, and Katherine and Dan’s loving family and friends made for a truly remarkable wedding!
